This Disclaimer is issued by Chisty Law Chambers Limited (“CLC UK”, “we”, “us”, “our”) (Company No. 10768907), registered in England & Wales, registered office: 1 Grace House, Bessborough Road, Harrow, England, HA1 3EX.
This Disclaimer applies to all use of our website, portals, forms, communications, social-media pages, marketing materials, proposals, quotations, messages, calls, emails, documents and content (together, “Content”) and to any enquiries, discussions or interactions with CLC UK, whether or not you later become a client.
1) Information Only — No Advice
All Content is provided for general information purposes only. It does not constitute (and must not be relied upon as) legal advice, regulated immigration advice, financial or investment advice, tax advice, accounting advice, fiduciary services, estate agency services, or any other regulated professional advice. You should obtain independent, properly regulated professional advice before taking action based on any Content.
2) Non-Regulated Status — No UK Immigration Advice / No Reserved Legal Activities
CLC UK operates as a non-regulated consultancy, coordination and administrative support services provider within its permitted scope of business activities.
For the avoidance of doubt:
- CLC UK does not provide UK immigration advice or UK immigration services;
- CLC UK does not advise on, assist with, prepare, review, submit, interpret or handle any UK immigration application, and does not provide guidance on UK eligibility, compliance, documentation or outcomes; and
- CLC UK does not carry out reserved legal activities under the Legal Services Act 2007, and is not authorised or regulated by the SRA, the UK Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), the FCA, HMRC, or any equivalent regulator, unless expressly stated otherwise in writing.
3) No Government Affiliation — No Guarantees of Outcomes
CLC UK is a private entity and is not part of any government, embassy, consulate, immigration authority, registry, free zone, endorsement body, educational institution, developer or regulator.
We cannot influence, control or guarantee any third-party decision-maker. All outcomes (including visas, permits, licences, approvals, endorsements, registrations, admissions, processing times and requirements) are determined solely by the relevant third party and may change without notice.
4) Reliance and Accuracy — Content May Change
We take reasonable care to ensure Content is accurate at the time of publication, but we give no warranty that it is complete, current, error-free, suitable, or up to date, and we accept no responsibility for reliance placed upon it. Laws, policies, procedures, fees, criteria and platform rules may change at any time and may not be reflected immediately in Content.
5) Client Responsibility for Information and Decisions
Where you instruct us, you remain solely responsible for:
- ensuring all information and documents you provide are accurate, complete, genuine, lawful and up to date;
- monitoring relevant legal/regulatory/authority updates and eligibility criteria that may affect your matter; and
- your decisions, actions and submissions, including any use of documents prepared or formatted using information you provide.
CLC UK may rely on information and documents supplied by you without independent verification and is not liable for consequences arising from inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, falsified or forged information provided by or on your behalf.
6) Third-Party Providers, Partners, Referrals and Introductions
Where CLC UK introduces, refers, coordinates with, or connects you to any third party (including overseas partners, regulated advisers, lawyers, immigration advisers, accountants, consultants, educational institutions, authorities, developers, free zones, platforms or service providers), then:
- any engagement is between you and the third party under that third party’s own terms;
- the third party acts independently and not as our agent;
- CLC UK does not supervise, manage, control, endorse, verify or accept responsibility for the third party’s services, advice, fees, performance or outcomes; and
- any referral fee/commission arrangement (if applicable) does not create any partnership, joint venture, agency, guarantee, or duty to monitor that third party.
7) Separate Legal Entities — No Group Liability / No Cross-Liability
CLC UK may have branding, operational, administrative, referral or commercial associations with other entities in the UK, UAE, Pakistan or elsewhere, including entities that may share ownership, management, contact details, VOIP/WhatsApp numbers, addresses or premises. Each entity is legally and financially separate and independent.
Nothing in any Content, communication or interaction shall create (or be interpreted as creating) any partnership, agency, joint venture, corporate group responsibility, joint and several liability, cross-liability, mutual guarantee, or shared legal/financial obligation between CLC UK and any other entity.
You contract only with the specific legal entity expressly named in your agreement / engagement document / invoice.
8) Third-Party Handling of Documents
CLC UK is not liable for documents or items lost, damaged, delayed, misdirected or mishandled by couriers, postal services, authorities, consular offices, third-party institutions, platforms or any other external organisation.
9) Online, Technical, Security and Cyber Risks
Use of websites, portals, email, messaging, payment gateways, cloud platforms and online services involves inherent technical and cyber risks. Unless expressly agreed in writing, CLC UK accepts no liability for malware, hacking, unauthorised access, data compromise, outages, platform suspensions, takedowns, algorithmic changes, or disruptions affecting any system or third-party platform.
10) Fees, Quotes and Contract Formation
Any quotation or fee indication is indicative only and does not constitute a binding offer. A binding contract arises only in accordance with CLC UK’s Terms & Conditions (including acceptance in writing, execution of an engagement document, or payment where applicable). Unless expressly agreed in writing, fees are non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11) Limitation of Liability — No Personal Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- CLC UK shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings; and
- any liability (if established) attaches only to CLC UK as a corporate entity. No director, officer, employee, consultant, agent or representative accepts any personal liability or owes any personal duty of care.
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence (where unlawful to exclude), or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
12) Force Majeure and Events Beyond Control
CLC UK is not liable for any delay, disruption, suspension or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including those described as force majeure in our Terms & Conditions (including pandemics, governmental actions, system outages, cyber incidents, third-party disruptions, or changes in law / policy / procedures).
13) Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in our Content, materials, templates, methodologies and deliverables remain owned by CLC UK or its licensors. No rights are granted except as expressly agreed in writing, and unauthorised copying, resale, publication or distribution is prohibited.
14) Governing Law
This Disclaimer and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with it are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply as a matter of law.
15) Priority and Incorporation
This Disclaimer must be read together with (and does not replace) CLC UK’s Terms & Conditions / Terms of Business, Privacy Policy, Cookies Policy, and Website Terms of Use, as published or provided. If you instruct CLC UK, the Terms & Conditions / Terms of Business govern and prevail in accordance with their priority provisions.
